A decline in shark feeding is linked to a decline in shark attacks.
Since Florida banned shark feeding in January 2002, shark attacks have sharply declined there. Conversely, over the same four-year interval in South Africa shark attacks have been have sharply increased in the False Bay area where shark feeding is booming.

One of the amazing things with sharks is just how friendly they are. Hold out your hand and they will bump it, nudge it, smell it. They will like to meet you. They are curious. When I say this, think about it. Curiousity didn’t kill the cat, it killed sharks world wide.
Most likely to leave you alone, or just watch you and your behaviour, Sharks are said to be killers. Who are the true killers? The protectors of their homes and family, or the blood thirsty do-anything-for-an-excuse-to-kill ones? I will give you a hint. SSharks are the first one. We will do anything to kill off sharks to eat them, taxidermy them, and just to say so. If someone scares you, you will hit them due to instincts. Well, Sharks don’t have arms. If you saw a great big, sharp toothed shark swimming straight towards you then you wouldnt just stay there calmly and still and you wouldnt just slowly swim away – you would panic!!
